If you are on progesterone only cream, a very small minority of women could experience things worsening before they get better. This does not usually last very long (and not longer than 6 weeks) and is a sign that the body is starting to make changes. Some women get relief of their symptoms in less than a week, for others it can take up to three months.
On your treatment, you will also have a questionnaire sent to you every 3 months to ensure you are on the right dosage!
Too much progesterone could cause the following side effects:
– Drowsiness
–Waking up groggy &/or edgy
– Nausea
– Hot flashes (also a sign of too little progesterone)
– Feeling depressed
– Slight dizziness
– Leg discomfort/pain
– Water retention (also a sign of too little progesterone)
